Pelvic Floor Hacks for Birth Pros

This class gives doulas practical, immediately usable tools from a pelvic floor physical therapist’s perspective to better support clients during pregnancy and in preparation for labor. Class will focus on the role of the pelvic floor during labor, how to encourage effective pushing, as well as tips and exercises to help your clients prep for delivery.

Doulas will leave feeling more confident in recognizing dysfunctional patterns, cueing relaxation vs. activation, and offering simple, effective strategies that can improve outcomes and enhance the birth experience.

Led by Dr. Alex Balthrop from Archer Physical Therapy, a group of advanced trained physical therapists that specialize in treating the pelvic floor during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.
